Street veterinarians treat homeless people’s pets.

Why backyard chickens are not the answer to the egg shortage. I have friends with backyard chickens. Said poultry inevitably become pets, with names and distinct personalities who wander in and out of the house. Ever try to housetrain a chicken?

    Manny is totally adorable!
I kept chickens for many years and was always entertained by them. Someone once described them as “goldfish for your yard” and I found that pretty accurate. And also – they lay eggs. What a win!

  5. Awesome street vets! That’s so cool. And while I have friends who’ve raised chickens to hens for eggs, watching all the work they put into it made me decide long ago that it wasn’t for me. The only way I can see myself raising hens is if I somehow ended up living on a farm, and animal care was my only job.
