The cowl the woman is wearing is the Autonomy Cowl by Romi Hill. If you buy the pattern, $5 of the $6.50 price will be split between Planned Parenthood and National Network of Abortion Funds.

Thank you for the link to Romi’s cowl! Purchased and I will absolutely be knitting a few of those for gifting! (also… riding mower ftw!)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm….Maybe I should have lit my first husband on fire to see if he was suitable. I suspect he may have been pure acrylic. 😉

    Yep. Two completely different hobbies.

  4. That’s impressive fiber sleuthing skills! I usually can only tell by how the fabric (or yarn) burns whether it’s a man-made, melty material or not.

Toe-up is my sock style of choice, too. (Though I will knit top-down when the pattern calls for it. I just don’t like it as much.)

Think about the 8 months travel time to Mars. Talk about car knitting! And setting ex-husbands on fire: Mine would smell like garbage being burnt in an outdoor furnace.
