Earworms.

We all get them and often do not know where they come from. Sometimes it is because we heard a particular song on the radio or in one’s Spotify or iTunes, but sometimes they materialize in our mind with no apparent source.

For me, it all started with Plastic Jesus. A few weeks ago I started keeping track of mine.

Because I am finding this intriguing, I shall add the current earworm to each day’s post, with (I hope) a link to a YouTube video of the song.

You can thank me later…

I must be out of touch ……………Some of those I don’t even KNOW! LOL

I get earworms all the time. I’ll have to start remembering which ones they were.

I’ve had Footloose stuck in my brain off and on for the last couple of weeks. Must have caught it from you…

“YOU PICKED A FINE TIME TO LEAVE ME LUCILLE DAMMIT.” I think I was working at the greenhouse with the kids when that came out, and we’d all break into a chorus worthy of any bar at closing time. You know, when all the girls get prettier?

these mostly bring back memories of drunken chorus sing-while-sober. But “Plastic Jesus?” that one cuts deep.

Mine depend on two things–what I’ve been listening to lately, and my opinion of what has been going on. For instance, yhe Oklahoma! song Poor Jud because we were out of ice!
