Rachel Maddow took on the election *audit* in Wisconsin last week. A little background: Gableman is a dyed-in-the-wool Scott Walker-esque judge. He was a judge in the next county north of us; sometime in the 2010s he became a justice on the state Supreme Court. He is currently retired.The Republican legislature decided to have him perform an *audit* of the 2020 election in the state.
- He was widely quoted this past week saying he doesn’t understand how elections work.
- The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is traditionally a conservative newspaper. Perhaps the shocking deeds of the past five years has caused the newspaper to reconsider. Good for them.

Isn’t it amazing how quickly “Fiscal Conservatism” flies out the window when there’s a nice, juicy conspiracy theory to chase. How many school lunches is this costing?
This is the plan of the GOP in all 50 states. I read the most interesting article by Mark Elias (https://www.democracydocket.com/news/how-the-gop-will-try-to-subvert-our-elections/) and then saw him on Rachel. The GOP has realized they cannot win fairly, so they are going to win at the cost of our democracy.
