If it’s Thursday, it’s time to rant, this time about COVID deniers (and some other stuff); 9/16/21.

And now, in the irony department:

  1. Kathleen Walsh says:

Bernier, an anti-vaxxer and anti-masker ran a radio show spouting his misinformed beliefs. He died of covid a week or so ago. So did an evangelical preacher who touted the same. Every day, I hear or read on the news about one of the anti-vaxxers being seriously ill, on a ventilator or dead from covid, while some of them even deny it exists as they are dying. It is so anti-common sense to espouse a position and promote it that kills your followers. So despite voter suppression laws targeted at Democratic-voting areas and folks, Republicans are killing off their own voters, promoters, funders and politicians. (Kane for example). It boggles the mind.

I’m also boggled by these belligerent anti-mask anti-vaxxers. Their message is clear – they don’t care if any of the rest of us is harmed by their actions. But what’s really horrifying to me is that when they wave their maskless unvaccinated children off to school in the morning, they’re essentially saying “Have a good day! I hope you get sick and die!”

  3. The whole “God will protect me from COVID, so I don’t have to take the vaccine” mentality is so similar to that lottery joke where the person prays to God to win the lottery, and finally God has to yell at the guy to at least buy a lottery ticket. I just don’t understand how you can be so willfully blind like that.

  4. Kitten WAW says:

“God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform.” Anti-mask/anti-vax are claiming his protection, yet dying. How mysterious!

I momentarily celebrated the 8,000 republicans, then remembered I have scruples.
But yeah, get the goddamn vaccine.
