Maybe harder to rant, but easier to relax and chuckle! Thanks for this morning’s grins!

I loved the sign about the GPS being wrong. My GPS has told me to turn the wrong way on a one way street where I liv, and that one way street is in the older part of the city and has been there for more than 60 years. I took it with me on a holiday and it did the same to me in a small town in New Mexico. Both times I knew better than to follow it. Another time I was driving from Albuquerque to Sante Fe, NM and it tried to direct me to California. I unplugged it and followed the highway signs, then just drove through Sante Fe until I recognized the hotel where I was going to be staying. I have had this GPS since 2010. It has been downloaded many times with new maps, etc. Our family was having a long ski weekend Family Day in February at a cottage resrt rental in Collingwood with a hot tub and a huge get together with dozens of us. I was driving there late in a snowstorm after work. I had put in the correct information. It took me up a mountainside and left me at a dead end in the middle of a rapidly growing snowstorm. I unplugged the thing, followed the lights down into the town, plugged it in again, and it took me reluctantly to the proper destination. I read once about a couple who followed their GPS into a lake and drowned. GPS’s are technology that can easily glitch and are no substitute for common sense, reason and logic. Buyer beware! I keep it because it sometimes is very handy and I keep alert to the nonsense that it trues to tell me. I bought it when I left Hay River, Northwest Territories and had to drive for a week through Canada back to Ontario, It was acting much better in those early days.

  3. I love the Maternity Ward door! 😀

And I currently use “best regards” as the snarky version of my work email signature. I’ll have to upgrade it to “warm regards” whenever things get *really* bad.

  5. Sent the bingo card around. It is much appreciated for those who have to have all those meetings!
