80% of her time doing fiberwork? I don’t feel so bad about a.) the time I spend just knitting (‘just’ as in ‘only’) and b.) the tiny portion of my wardrobe that is handmade. Yay Medieval! Yay fibers!
I can only hope/assume that practicing weaving (and spinning and handsewing) since childhood meant that women were faster at it than I am because good God it feels like it takes forever to sew something with a MACHINE.
