Last year I did a different kind of New Year’s resolution. I had only one goal, and it was a very easy one to meet: I wanted to try some different kinds of drinks and liquors. How did I do? Quite well, thankyouverymuch.
The crossed-off ones are the ones I accomplished. In the process I found I kinda like a Manhattan, either the traditional one with whiskey and also the one with brandy. Not so much that I will order it in a bar (because I never go to bars), but I will have one occasionally at home.
For 2020 I decide my goals should be similar: easy and pleasant to accomplish. Here they are.
The CFIS and FEC reports are financial reports to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission and the Federal Election Committee; I am the treasurer for two political parties and two candidates, and there are a total of five reports due in January. Yee-haw, numbers!!
If you like a Manhattan I think you will also like an Old Fashioned. Your list for 2020 is great and that’s a LOT of blue hats!
Negroni’s are wonderful – and if you like bourbon, you’d also like a Boulevardier (which is essentially a Negroni made with bourbon)
And, go you on those hats!
LOVE your goals — for last year AND for this year. XO
Marula was always my favourite liquor. It is made from an orange-tasting fruit called marula. It is also cream-based, so I used to put it over vanilla ice cream, or had it on the rocks. It was a tasty dessert!
Great goals!
(May I suggest audiobooks for the classics? I found I was more likely to finish a classic (ie: a book that I felt I ‘ought’ to read) when someone was reading me a story) (And I could knit at the same time) (And also drink) (That’s three things off your list. You’re on your own with those financial bits)
Your goals are wonderful! I have to figure out how zach can vote if he’s in Mexico
That sounds like a very reasonable list of goals! I hope they go well for you.
