Also, you should know that 45 years ago yesterday these two young whippersnappers tied the knot. Later this month we will continue our anniversary tradition of spending a few days in a cabin on the North Shore. (Why, no, we haven’t changed a bit (except that I have bangs now and wear my glasses instead of contacts).)
Lovely! Congrats, and it’s a great picture!
Hi Kathryn! Phil agreed to a party for his 75th birthday, so yesterday we had 75 people here between 1-6 pm with tons of choices of appetizers and a cake. We sang him happy birthday in 4 languages. Our home was filled with joy and comradeship, good will and appreciation. My heart is full. He even was not overwhelmed and really enjoyed it. Ages ranged from 3 years old to late 80’s. Two of my sisters, one brother, one brother-inn-law and one nephew came from my family. Two friends from 53 years ago at high school came with their husbands, It is such a wonder that we are still in touch! Neighbours came and friends from Phil’s political activities. Then the three Syrian families that we helped get settled and an Egyptian family who was our physiotherapist came with their children so that really filled up our home. It was a buzzing. I may send you a photo or photos the last guest took of us. The love and closeness just keeps growing with our age, mellowing and softening and spreading out. I am so grateful for your brother!
Awwww! Congratulations and hugs to you both!
(That bear picture took me about two seconds too long to figure out…)
I love the funnies . . . but mostly, I LOVE your wedding photo! Congratulations on your anniversary, and all the best wishes for many more! XO
