Storm update, day 6.

As you know, our power was restored on Tuesday afternoon (and there was great rejoicing!) But there are still nearly 1,000 people in the county without power.

ica tornado touchdown near them. She and her husband had been watching the weather from their living room window — first the sky darkening, then going black, then intense green, then… “Here comes the train!” They went to their lower level to be safe, but she — like me — is a curious cat and went back upstairs to watch. Their house was not damaged, but they had a horrendous amount of cleanup to do outside. She said there is one area in their woods where the downed trees were pointing every which way, clearly tornadic rather than straight-wind damage.

Smokey and I are eagerly awaiting the local paper, which will come in today’s mail. I suspect there will be a LOT about the storm.

We had THREE tornadoes on Cape Cod on Monday! Lots of damage but luckily no one was hurt.

Wow! Just wow… that green color is never good! My nana used to say green means get to the cellar!

Yeah… I’m really glad I don’t live in tornado country. That sounds scary.

  4. I have dreams that I am torn between watching tornadoes and going in the basement
