Spring in Wisconsin.

We had rain, snow, and 37˚ earlier today right now.

I felt something on my neck.

Every spring I treat you to a view of the first wood tick of the season, typically provided to me by one of the dogs. You’re welcome!

  1. ICK! I hate ticks! Myles had one the other day. I guess we’ll be using the flea and tick preventative year round before too long:(

  2. gayle says:

    Ack!
(both the weather and the tick!)

  3. Shirley Nygaard says:

I’ve been hoping that those nasty ticks aren’t out yet here in west central Minnesota. I hate those buggers.

  4. Kat says:

Ugh to all of those things!

  5. readknit says:

I hate all species of ticks and the diseases they transmit even more so (but thanks for this photo of the the first of many this year)!

Hate those things. My mom’s solution was a piece of scotch tape. Stick the tick to it (If it has embedded the chemicals usually make it back out). Fold the tape over the tick. Throw in the garbage. Fumes will kill the tick and it will not crawl away before that happens. I told her she should have marketed it. “Tick Tape” Now you know.
