Where I’ve been.
Where else I’ve been.
We need to vote like we are losing! VOTE!!
Greetings from the UK. I and all my friends are hoping for good results on Tuesday. Of course the USA isn’t our country, but it is the most powerful country in the world and our futures are affected too. The news from Brazil last week was terribly depressing and we could all do with an injection of hope.
The world is watching. There is a lot riding on this. At the least, we will have made a good effort toward turning this nightmarish ship of fools, around. There are great candidates and wonderful leaders that have emerged. I can hardly sleep at night, I am so impatient for the election results.
Can’t wait until November 7!!!
I am literally counting the minutes…
Michael Moore says not to underestimate POTUS and being overconfident, like two years ago. He says to take this election seriously, so I agree with what your friend Kat wrote, to vote as if you may lose if you do not. Only with this attitude may a blue wave come. Still, some places are close contests. And unwarranted fear-mongering of people from Latin America seeking asylum is being “trumped-up”. It surprises me how malleable to manipulation based on fear so many staunch Republican voters display. Where is the critical thinking? Sigh. This is the real threat to America right now, that people do not engage their critical thinking, their skepticism, the ability to question. If they used and trusted their intuition and empathy it might help, too. Such as, how do you think those still 22 incarcerated children under the age of 5 separated from their parents are feeling? Abandonment, fear, mistrust, insecurity, trauma, confusion. How could this in ANY way are morally a correct action to take to innocent children. Their parents were lied to by the government and were deported. No records were taken. Courts order the children and parents reunited and the government responsible for this threw away contact information or was negligent in obtaining it. the President and Attorney General make outrageous statements and people do not question them but follow orders? It takes the courts to give a sob and moral ruling on this. Close to 500 children are still not reunited, with more than 300 of their parents deported. If everyone who has a vote is in contact with their guts, they would not simply give a nod to the rationalizations and justifications used by the President. So they must be brainwashed. How weak is that? How can people be freed to see the darkness behind policies such as this one? And this is only the tip of the iceberg. It is rotten from top to bottom.
