2003: the Harry Potter period.

2005: Andrew (Elder Son), left; Matthew (YS), right, in South Africa. To me, this photo shows exactly how well they got along, i.e., not at all, until the latter graduated from high school in 2007, and ES discovered that YS was not the annoying little brother he had always been.

2007: M discovers girls, and the world gets a lot brighter.

20007: I am proud that we instilled in both boys, especially this one, a superb sense of humor —  including the ability to laugh at one’s self.

2017: As much as this seems self-consciously hip and deep, M tells me that it was a joke. (See “laugh at one’s self, above”.)
