And gauge really is important. My mother knit one sweater in her life – for her dad. It ended up fitting both Grandpa and Grandma at the same time, and Mom probably could have squeezed in, too, and still been able to button it…
Im a procrastinator sweater knitter. ONly a few have fit well and been worn often. Top down raglans are the way for me to go…if and when
I am a “No swatch knitter” which is not surprising (I’ve frogged a couple of sweaters). That said, I LOVE the piece on gauge 😉
