There was a massive mosquito hatch last weekend. Ever since then it is unbearable to be outside, day or night. The little buggers are so ubiquitous that there was a story on the news one night about it. Did you know that Minnesota is host to FIFTY-ONE different species of mosquito (although only a few attack humans)? I don’t know about Wisconsin, but I suspect the number is similar. The Google tells me there are FIFTY-SIX species in Wisconsin.

So. On Friday this happened.
We were going to put the screen house up today, but it is pouring. Those 51 species of mosquito are happy to hear that news. Why didn’t that horrible winter kill them?
I joined Ravelry one month after you . . . and I was 11,368! 🙂
(Did you want to start singing . . . don’t let up until we’re through???)
You made me look – we have 45 species of mosquito in Vermont. Someone must be knitting them sweaters to help them survive the winters…
