Once again Younger Son and Ser Percival The Energetic were here for the weekend.
Percy was helping Matthew put the battery charger on the old Volvo that we are trading in. Sadly, the car contained at least one wasps' nest.
Guess who had an unfortunate encounter with a wasp?
After a bit of internet research we gave him a couple Benadryl, which seemed to help.
Later on Sunday we all went out to return the carpet cleaner and get some dinner. On the way home Smokey stopped by the side of the road to give the dogs a treat.
What were Percy and Lucy watching so intently?
Poor Percy! It looks like they had a fun car ride!
seconding the Benadryl. We had a lab/shar pei mix who was great at finding the only stinging insect in a 20 mile radius. The vet confirmed that 1-2 of the small pink Benedryl tabs would be fine (he suggested using Brand only, not generic, but YMMV).
I laughed on the car ride–all my dogs have ADORED car rides.

My, what a big nose you have, Ser!
I like sunday afternoons, when everybody takes their dog out for a ride (it seems). My dog barked at those big dogs once – till they came over to see what it was all about. That was enough of that.
Lillizajane was faced with a similar pastoral site on a drive once. And then the cows began to move toward the fence. And then she saved us from the “attack cows”
