It occurred to me that perhaps I should remind everyone that I DO still knit. Currently OTN:
Notice the distinct lack of suntan, plus the remnants of that itchy rash on my legs. Ewww. Back in June when Smokey was doing the daily wet wraps of my arms, I was not as diligent on my shins. Working on that now.
Remember the multi-color striped top-down raglan? I tried it on after posting its progress earlier this month, and guess what? It was very nearly long enough — only about two inches short! Finding out how close I was to finishing gave me some impetus to resume knitting. We are going camping again next week — North Shore of Lake Superior this time — and I hope to finish it once and for all then. Stay tuned…
The colors are lovely! Have a wonderful trip Up North. I love Lake Superior. . . and North Shore! Stunning.
I haven’t been to the North Shore in years… ‘nother little trip to add to the list! Have fun!!
have fun camping and knitting! That raglan is going to look gorgeous when finished, and the socks are not looking bad either 🙂
Nice length on that first sock! I applaud your stick-to-it-ive-ness!
He should have wrapped up all of you. ;^)
Love the socks!
Where are you going to be? We are going to be in Grand Marais next week – I hear there are two yarn stores there.
Lovely socks and I must, must know the outcome of the sweater – it looks fantastic. I’m almost done with a sweater so I’ll be looking for another soon (queue in Ravelry notwithstanding).
I must add that it’s a wonder we connected as we did since I
a) do not (EVER) camp and
2) make sure that my hand-knit socks do not pattern out to match. In fact, I’ve rewound yarn so that the striping goes in the other direction.
Poor legs!! 😦
Ely yarn store too.
I’m on the south shore, by the by…
Good luck with the sweater finish! That’s the point I usually lose steam. With one big project ‘practically done,’ I cast on another, just sure that (this time) I’ll go back and finish off that first project in a matter of minutes…
Pretty knitting! I love the colors of both the socks and the sweater. Have fun (or hope you had) up north!
